Lo, those many years ago when I was in high school, I had a friend/classmate who used the word "spareribs" whenever he came across a word he couldn't pronounce or didn't know. When asked to name my blog, my mind went blank...then the memory of Charles in my English class came back. So, thanks Charles.
My second choice would be "Bob". Once a friend wrote to humorist Dave Barry asking, "Dear Dave: In the past we've referred to decades as the '50s, '60s, '70s, '80s and '90s. Now that 2000 is approaching, what will we call future decades?"
Dave Barry's reply: "We'll call it 'Bob'".
This still cracks me up after 10 years. I wish I could explain it.
